FAQ

General

Where are you located?

Everything from start to finish is created with love, by hand, in coastal Maine.

I’m local, can I pick up my order instead of paying for shipping?

Yes! Local pick ups can be made in Portland, ME or Yarmouth, ME ! This option can be selected at checkout.

Are your serving boards food safe?

Of course ! The resin is safe for food contact - smother your board board with all your favorite goodies and snacks!  Don’t forget to send us pictures of your beautiful creations for a chance to be featured on one of our pages!

How do I take care of my resin serving boards?

Hand wash only - do NOT put in the dishwasher. It is great to condition your board with a food safe oil after every use but not absolutely necessary. When the wood starts to look dull, you know it needs to be conditioned ! Mineral oil is a great food safe option.

Where do you source your wood from?

All wood is sourced from local Maine lumber yards and one awesome supplier in Quebec, Canada. All pieces are handmade, never from overseas.

Restocks

When will my favorite item be back in stock?

Technically, never BUT something very similar will be ! Because of the nature of resin, I am not able to ever recreate something from the past. Pieces may look very similar but they will never be the same. The best way to stay up to date with online shop restocks is to subscribe to our email list. You can do so by filling out the subscription form that pops up when first clicking lamareeart.com or by simply filling out the contact form.

There is only one online, how can I order two?

In some cases, I may have pieces in the studio ready to go but not yet online that are available for purchase, just not yet publicly online. If you are looking for two of the same and do not see anything online, reach out with a description and I’m happy to peruse my studio stock for you.

Commissioned Work

I want a commission piece but how ? And how long will it take for me to get it?

Timelines vary greatly based on current work load so it’s always best to reach out and ask if you are on a tight schedule. The best way to do so is to click contact and fill out the appropriate information. Commission minimums are $350. Half of the total is due before project commencement and the other 50% and applicable shipping charges are due at shipping. No artwork ships without being paid in full.

What if I don’t like my commissioned piece?

All commissioned pieces are sent for a final approval before being sent out. Once the final image has been accepted by you as the buyer, it is not eligible for returns. In principle, you won’t have any reason to want to send it back !

Returns

Do you accept returns?

For sanitary reasons (particularly during COVID), I do not accept returns. If you product arrives damaged, please send photos and an explanation. All packages are insured and no returns will be accepted without photos of damaged box(es) and product. Returns are accepted at my own discretion.

Custom projects and commissions are not eligible for returns.

Wholesale

Do you offer wholesale pricing ?

Yes. Please fill out the contact me form and tell us a little about your shop and where you are located. We do not accept submissions from shops selling similar resin artistry. I  work exclusively with you and thus expect you to work exclusively with me. I do not sell to multiple galleries or shops in the same zip code.
